Chapter J preps for state convention

WAYLAND — Six members of chapter Iowa J of Wayland met at 7 p.m. Tuesday March 25 at the Wayland Community Center.
President Georgia Fort called the meeting to order. Cindy Seberg reported having sent Louise Seberg’s information and picture in for the Memorial Hour at State Convention.
Georgia Fort and Lori Messer are Iowa J delegates for State Convention to be held April 11 and 12 in Burlington. Others attending are Cori Kuntz and Judith Hueholt. Iowa J and Crawfordsville L are sharing responsibilities for Hospitality at the convention. The chapter has two door prizes for State Convention, as requested of zone host chapters.
Treasurer, Lori Messer gave her report and it is accepted and filed for audit.
Our 2025 camper is excited to be attending T.T.T. camp in June. The chapter will host a “shower” for her in May to supply all her needs for camp. She and her family will be invited for a light meal ahead of the shower. Camp is June 8-13.
Iowa J has 2 previous campers graduating from high school this year and will be remembering them. Motion carried unanimously to give a gift to WACO After Prom. Iowa J has 2 juniors and 2 seniors who are previous camp girls and would be eligible to attend Prom.
Chapter J next meeting will be April 22, 2025 at 7 p.m. at the Community Center. Convention reports will be shared. A list of camper needs will be available to members.
President Georgia Fort declared the meeting adjourned.
