On April 4, Chapter Original A of P.E.O. used Skype to visit with Catie Moore Scott in Kyrgyzstan.
Scott is the daughter of Sandy Moore and currently serving in the Peace Corps with her husband, Bob Scott. She is helping to prepare new teachers for the challenges of the classrooms. She has also started some new projects in hopes of teaching the women of Kyrgyzstan nutrition and reproductive health.
Scott delighted members with stories of shopping in the bazaar; living with her host family and culinary favorites of the region.
After what members said was an enlightening conversation with Catie, the meeting was brought to order by President Carolyn Brenizer. There were 36 members in attendance.
Linda Proctor served as hostess at Sunnybrook with Carolyn Jensen and Sara Kremer as co-hostesses.
The next meeting of Chapter Original A will be April 18 in the Memory Rooms at the Old Main building on Iowa Wesleyan?s campus.
