Chavez trial delayed to August

The trial of a Fairfield man charged with lascivious acts with a child has been delayed from June until August.
Timothy Sebastian Chavez, 21, was arrested April 20 and charged with lascivious acts with a 13-year-old girl. His trial was initially scheduled for June 4, but the judge in the case approved an order for a continuance to Aug. 27. Chavez has pleaded not guilty.
