WASHINGTON — Diners at the Chef Spotlight Dinner on Monday, Nov. 4 at the Wooden Wheel Winery enjoyed a delicious meal, prepared by Chef Ila Miller of HIM Hearth-N-Home Cooking in Wellman. Guest speakers were Cary Ann Siegfried from the Washington Library, Olivia Kahler from the Kalona Library and Carrie Geno from the Wellman Library.
Patrons got a chance to put their philanthropy in practice by raising over $14,000 in an auction of donated desserts from many county businesses and individuals. Proceeds from this auction will be divided between the Community Foundation of Washington County and the three Public Libraries of Washington County.
The Community Foundation of Washington County works together with many individuals, families, and organizations to establish endowment funds that provide permanent support to charitable causes in Washington County.
