Chicago man found in possession of marijuana while in HC Jail

A man in custody at the Henry County Sheriff's Office was found to be in possession of marijuana last week.
Demetrice Coleman, 30, of Chicago, Ill., was found to be in possession of marijuana on Wednesday, April 10, around 9:12 p.m. This contraband was found by jail staff during a search of his person while in a secure portion of the Henry County Jail.
As a result of this incident and investigation, Coleman was charged with Possession of Contraband in a Correctional Facility, a Class D felony.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
