New London?s Matayo Christianer was given first team all-Southeast Iowa Super Conference South Division honors as a utility player this week.
The junior was key for the Tigers at the plate, on the mound and in the field this season.
Christianer had a team-high on-base percentage of .506, and hit .365 on the season, just one percentage point behind the team leader, Devon Smyth.
He also threw more innings than any other New London pitcher, and when he wasn?t pitching, made some good plays in the outfield for the Tigers.
Three Tigers earned second team honors and two were given a all-conference honorable mention.
Smyth, Tyler Shinkle and Quincy Porter made second team all-conference.
Smyth, a sophomore, led the team with a .366 batting average and with a .479 slugging percentage.
Shinkle hit .306 on the season, and in his first year playing, the junior?s cannon of an arm was a big asset to the Tigers in the outfield.
Quincy Porter was second on the team with a slugging percentage of .458 and led the team with six doubles on the year.
Honorable mentions went to sophomore Cameron Watson and freshman Jayden Flowers.
In the SEISC North Division, second team all-conference recognition went to Winfield-Mt. Union?s Darren Hunter, who led the team with a .394 average, a .459 OBP and a .606 slugging percentage.
Senior Lucas Rappenecker and freshman Kolt Rossiter each earned an all-conference honorable mention for the Wolves.
