Christmas in Kalona
James Jennings
Dec. 6, 2021 10:28 am
The annual Christmas in Kalona celebration drew a large crowd to the Kalona Community Center and downtown Kalona on Saturday.
Downtown streets were full of activity that morning with music and campfires on the sidewalks while parents and children visited businesses to fill the Kids’ Walking Stocking.
Promptly at 10 a.m., Santa Claus arrived in style at the Community Center, being chauffeured in a Kalona fire truck.
A long line of children waited patiently to relay their Christmas wishes to and have their picture taken the big man in red.
The gym was the hub of activity, with numerous vendors and activities, including cookie and ornament decorating.
The day was capped off with a lighted Christmas tree walk at the Kalona Historical Village.
