Christmas tree pickup starts Jan. 9
Fairfield?s public works department will begin picking up discarded Christmas trees at 7 a.m. Jan. 9.
The service is provided to homes with one to three families ? not to multi-family residences with four or more dwellings.
Only Christmas trees will be collected. All decorations, lights and plastic bags must be removed to guarantee pickup. Trees must be placed on the curb by 7 a.m. Jan. 9.
