Clothes dryer sparks fire
Fire crews from Mt. Pleasant and Wayland spent much of Wednesday afternoon and into the early evening battling a blaze at 2096 White Oak Road, in rural Mt. Pleasant. The fire originated in the basement, due to a running clothes dryer, and caused extensive damage to the interior of the home.
