An apparent collision blocked the intersection of West Burlington Avenue and Second Street in Fairfield just before noon on Tuesday, Dec. 12. No information was available by presstime, but it appeared that at least two vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene by RPM Automotive Inc. Jefferson County Ambulance was on the scene and drove away with its lights flashing and sirens on, though there is no official word yet on whether anyone was injured. The Union will publish more information on this incident as it becomes available. (Andy Hallman/The Union)
