Collision south of Ainsworth hospitalizes one

A collision between a car and a semi at Hwy 218 and Old White Way south of Ainsworth injured one person early Monday morning, according to a police report.
The report said Mildred Anice Bridges of Ottumwa was hospitalized after she failed to yield to the oncoming 2021 KW Tractor.
“Vehicle 1 was traveling westbound on Old White Way (and) failed to yield when entering through highway 218 causing vehicle 2 to collide,” the report said.
Bridges was taken by ambulance to the University of Iowa for her injuries, according to the report.
