The E911 Board and Communications Commission voted to agree to the proposed budgets Thursday evening. The next step is for the board and commission to hold a public hearing. The board voted to hold a public hearing on March 11 at 7 p.m. in the former library, which will be followed by the commission?s public hearing at 7:15 p.m.
The board and commission will also hold their monthly meetings at that time, assuming that St. Paul consulting engineer Leonard Koehnen can make the meeting at that time. Koehnen has presented at joint board and commission meetings in the past about proposals to build a new dispatch center. The March meeting for both bodies was scheduled for March 25, but the members on the two bodies agreed it would be more convenient to hold them on the same date as the public hearing.
