Dover Historical Society will hold monthly meeting Friday, July 21
The monthly meeting of the Dover Historical Society will be held on the third Friday of July. Meet at the museum at 1:30 p.m. All members are welcome. Note: the date is on the third Friday rather than the fourth. Plans for upcoming events will be discussed.
Henry County Heritage Center presents a program on the Orphan Train
Pat White and Joan Morgan will be presenting “Our Grandpas Rode the Orphan Train” at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 22. Joan will share her grandfather’s story as well as tell a bit about the orphan train movement. Pat will focus on local Henry County orphan train history as well as tell her grandfather’s story. Plan to attend this fascinating part of community history, The museum is located at 403 West Madison Street, Mt. Pleasant. The program is free.

Dover Museum changes hours for August through October 2023
The Dover Museum, chapel and depot in New London is open Sunday only 1 – 4 pm beginning Aug. 6 through Oct. 29. The museum will continue to be open Saturday and Sunday through the end of July. The museum is also open by appointment.
Tiger Pantry Schedule
Tiger Pantry is open Thursdays, 3:30-6 p.m. and Saturdays, 9-11 a.m.
