First Annual New London Business Sidewalk Sale — Aug. 12
The New London Holiday Stroll Committee is trying a new event to bring more business to town and raise funds for the Annual Holiday Stroll. “Christmas in July” will feature business tables and vendors setting up on Main Street. The Holiday Stroll is an important New London event. Community support is important.
Dover Sunday — Aug. 13 at 1:30 p.m. features Deb Crockett Scott
Deb Scott retired New London teacher, remains active in her many roles — mentor, artist, lifelong learner and investigator. She will be presenting at the Dover Museum, 213 West Main Street, New London. The program begins at 1:30 p.m. Deb has recently had shows at the Burlington Art Center and the Mount Pleasant Art Gallery. Deb’s “Faces of the Skunk River” provides a unique opportunity to learn about the past and the interesting people who settled this area. Plan to attend this fascinating program and get a chance to visit with Deb and catch up on her many projects. The program is free. Refreshments will follow her presentation.
