With the air temperature at around 34 degrees and the water temperature about four degrees lower, 10 Winfield residents had a chilly start to Saturday, March 19, participating in the Crooked Creek Days Committee?s Polar Plunge at the Twin Lakes County Club and Golf Course in Winfield. With the air temperature at around 34 degrees and the water temperature about four degrees lower, 10 Winfield residents had a chilly start to Saturday, March 19, participating in the Crooked Creek Days Committee?s Polar Plunge at the Twin Lakes County Club and Golf Course in Winfield. The 10 plungers all raised at least $75, which enabled the committee to exceed its fundraising goal. Money raised from the event will be put toward the Crooked Creek Days Fireworks Extravaganza on Sunday, Aug. 7.
