WASHINGTON — County officials said an issue with their non-emergency phone lines was resolved by Thursday afternoon. The problem had left county offices on backup business lines since early in the weekend, although emergency communications were unaffected.
“We are receiving calls on our business lines and appreciate everyone’s patience this week,” Washington County Communications 911 Supervisor Cara Sorrells said. “We will continue to utilize our KCTC line 319-864-1005 and encourage anyone who has issues in the future to notify us via that number.”
Windstream representative Scott Morris said the cause was hard to pin down, as teams worked to repair the line Tuesday.
“The service issues were intermittent — meaning service would drop, then recover, then drop again — and that has made it difficult to identify the precise cause,” he said.
