County prepares to mail property assessments
Jefferson County property owners can expect assessment notices to arrive sometime next week.
Jefferson County Assessor Sheri Blough Neff said the new assessments must be mailed out by April 15 and affect property taxes due in July 2012.
Her office is sending the notices out a little early to give property owners a window to have questions answered.
