Christine Parker of Batavia, from left, asked where her polling site is while at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield where election judges Ray Woody, Walta Jane Bloomquist and Doris Eklund are manning the polls for Buchanan precinct residents. Polls are open until 8 p.m. today for residents living in unincorporated portions of Jefferson County. The one ballot question asks for a yes or no vote to divert 16 percent of the county?s Local Option Sales Tax, which currently goes toward relief of property taxes. If approved, the 16 percent will support the building of a new outdoor pool and a new gym in Fairfield.
