Andrew John Jaquez, 29, 509 E. Burlington Ave., Apt. 4, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to manufacture or deliver marijuana. A five-year jail sentence was suspended in favor of five years probation. Jaquez was fined $750 and ordered to pay a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $10 drug abuse resistance education surcharge.
ASSOCIATE DISTRICT COURT
Lance Owen Meyer, 41, of Ottumwa pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle while his license was barred as a habitual offender. A 90-day jail sentence was suspended in favor of two years probation. Meyer was fined $625.
Alexandria Kurzen, 25, 2486 Marigold Blvd., pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated-first offense and was ordered to pay a $1,250 fine and $10 drug abuse resistance education surcharge. All but two days of a 30-day jail sentence was suspended, and Kurzen was placed on probation for two years. Kurzen also must enroll in a course for drinking drivers.
Corey Willard Hervey, 35, of Keosauqua pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated-first offense and was ordered to enroll in a course for drinking drivers. He was sentenced to two days in jail and ordered to pay a $1,250 fine and a $10 drug abuse resistance education surcharge.
