Patricia Ann Buffington, 43, 806 E. Burlington Ave., pleaded guilty to public intoxication-third offense and assault on persons engaged in certain occupations. Two 180-day jail sentences were suspended in favor of two years probation. Buffington also must pay $940 in fines.
Miguel Angel Martinez-Marron, 30, 2709 W. Briggs Ave., pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated-first offense and was ordered to complete a course for drinking drivers. All but two days of a 30-day jail sentence was suspended, and Martinez-Marron was put on probation for two years. He was ordered to pay a $1,250 fine and a $10 drug abuse resistance education surcharge.
ASSOCIATE DISTRICT COURT
Bryce Augustus Haynes, 21, of Stockport pleaded guilty to possession of a prescription drug or device without a prescription. A 60-day jail sentence was suspended in favor of two years probation. He was ordered to pay a $315 fine, $10 drug abuse resistance education surcharge and $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge.
Patrick Eugene Boone, 25, of Wayland pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated-first offense and received a deferred judgment. He was put on probation for two years and ordered to pay a $1,250 civil penalty.
Charles Ray Taylor, 31, 2189 S. 32nd St., pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated-second offense. All but seven days of a 90-day jail sentence was suspended, and Taylor was put on probation for two years. He also must complete a course for drinking drivers. Taylor was ordered to pay a $1,875 fine and a $10 drug abuse resistance education surcharge.
Jason Weston Gallup, 34, 501 North C St., pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle while barred and was fined $625. A two-year jail sentence was suspended in favor of two years probation.
Anthony Casco, 32, of Iowa City pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated-first offense and was ordered to enroll in a course for drinking drivers. He must pay a $1,250 fine and a $10 drug abuse resistance education surcharge. All but two days of a 30-day jail sentence was suspended, and Casco was put on probation for two years.
Bradley Allen Hartman, 40, 303 S. 17th St., pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and received a deferred judgment. He was put on probation for one year. Hartman must pay a $315 civil penalty and a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge.
