The following court cases were processed at Jefferson County Courthouse.

Associate District Court

Christopher W. Batterson, 23, of Batavia, pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated, first offense. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail; all but two days was suspended, and work release was granted. He was placed on two years probation, his license was revoked and he was ordered to successfully complete a drinking dirver?s course and obtain a substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations. He was fined $1,250 plus a 35 percent surcharge and a $10 D.A.R.E. surcharge. He was ordered to pay restitution, court appointed attorney fees if any and court costs. If he does not have fingerprints on file with law enforcement, he was ordered to be fingerprinted.

Stephen Mark Scotton, 31, of Fairfield, had a charge dismissed without prejudice due to insufficient evidence.

Courtney B. Reid, 21, of Fairfield, had a charge dismissed with costs to the defendant.
