Courthouse elevator to reopen Wednesday

The elevator at the Jefferson County Courthouse will be back in service and open to the public beginning Wednesday.
The offices of the Clerk of Court and County Assessor, which were moved to the former Lincoln School while the elevator was down, are closed today and Tuesday so they can move their belongings back to their offices in the courthouse and resume operations as normal Wednesday.
