WASHINGTON — The Washington Chamber of Commerce will host its 34th Annual Fall Craft Fair Saturday in the square, repeating a tradition that brings countless vendors and shoppers to the park each year.
Chamber Event Coordinator April Cuddeback said around 125 craft booths and 10 food vendors had booked spots for the day, slightly up from the last event’s total.
“The Fall Craft Fair is the bigger craft fair of the two, and the longest-running,” she said. “It’s just a great event, I think word is getting around, people are excited … it’s something that grows each year, it’s something that people attend and talk about it, and then the next year we add a couple, and the next year a couple more.”
With so many years already logged for the event, Cuddeback said Washington had established itself as the place to be for craft sellers in early September.
“We’ve got a strong tradition here, we’re reaching a lot of shoppers,” she said. “We’re hitting the right time of year, people are getting their houses reset for the fall … but also it’s the time of year where people start to think about Christmas gifts. And with 125 booths, we probably have something for everyone on your shopping list.”
The Fall Craft Fair will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Washington’s central park Saturday, Sept. 9.
