CRAWFORDSVILLE — A pancake breakfast in Crawfordsville Saturday set a new attendance record after serving 364 people, according to department officials. That’s well above the city’s population, pinned at 277 residents in the 2020 census.
“The Crawfordsville Fire Department would like to thank everyone that came to our breakfast,” said a post on the Crawford Township Benefited Fire District’s Facebook page.
The meal brought in freewill donations, and was followed by an Easter Egg Hunt.
Representatives said they were pleased to see so much backing from the community. The department’s previous record of 268 people was set in 2021.
“It was a great turnout and a lot of good food,” the Facebook post said. “It is awesome to see people turn out to support there Fire Department. Looking forward to new record-setting years in the future.”
