Crawfordsville woman faces felony drug charge
CRAWFORDSVILLE ? A Crawfordsville woman has been arrested on a drug charge.
On Dec. 22, at about 5 p.m., the Mt. Pleasant Police Department arrested Kelli Matkin, of Crawfordsville, for delivery of less than 50 kilograms of marijuana, a Class D Felony.
According to a press release, as a result of an investigation police located approximately one ounce of marijuana, serialized U.S. currency and paraphernalia.

CRAWFORDSVILLE ? A Crawfordsville woman has been arrested on a drug charge.
On Dec. 22, at about 5 p.m., the Mt. Pleasant Police Department arrested Kelli Matkin, of Crawfordsville, for delivery of less than 50 kilograms of marijuana, a Class D Felony.
According to a press release, as a result of an investigation police located approximately one ounce of marijuana, serialized U.S. currency and paraphernalia.
Matkin was arrested and transported to the Henry County Jail where she was held pending arraignment.
The Mt. Pleasant Police were assisted by the Henry County Sheriff?s Office and the Washington Louisa County Drug Task Force. More charges are expected and more arrests are forthcoming, according to the Mt. Pleasant Police Department.
Mt. Pleasant Police Lt. Lyle Murray said in the press release that some of the information that resulted in the arrest came from the public calling in with information. ?It is greatly appreciated,? he said.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
