Crooked Creek Bridge to close Monday
The Washington County Engineer?s office announced that a portion of county road G-38 will be closed beginning Monday for the replacement of the Crooked Creek Bridge, just west of the city of Washington. The road will be closed one mile west of the intersection of Highways 92 and 1, and will remain closed for approximately six months, depending on the pace of construction. The Washington County Engineer?s office announced that a portion of county road G-38 will be closed beginning Monday for the replacement of the Crooked Creek Bridge, just west of the city of Washington. The road will be closed one mile west of the intersection of Highways 92 and 1, and will remain closed for approximately six months, depending on the pace of construction. Traffic will be detoured onto county road W-38 and Highway 92 during the construction.
According to a press release from the County Engineer?s office, Iowa Bridge and Culvert of Washington will remove the existing bridge and replace it with a wider bridge. County Engineer David Patterson said the construction will not interfere with the County Fair or the fairgrounds.
