How will your high school experiences help you in coming years?
Some of the friends I’ve made are coming with me to college. Some I plan to stay in touch with as well. Making quick friends is something I’ve gotten good at, and I want to pick up more friends along the way.
Fondest memory of high school?
My sophomore year, we took two relay teams up to state, and that day, period, was probably the best of my life so far. I was around friends, and we all ran the best we ever had.
Which teachers have had the biggest impact on your education and why?
Mrs. Schoening is my favorite teacher. She doesn’t just teach her classes, she also follows up while the kids work to make sure they understand what they're taught. Mr. Pieart is my other favorite teacher. He makes good jokes and explains everything thoroughly.
Who is your role model and how did they influence you?
My older sister, Liana. She had her schedule packed full of things and still got good grades.
What is special about your high school?
As small as our school is, sometimes it can feel like a family. Even when you feel like there’s no where to go, there are plenty of people who support you.
If you could go back to when you were a freshman, what advice would you give yourself?
Just focus on yourself. Get good grades and don’t worry about anyone else.
