Danville man accused of physical altercation

MT. PLEASANT - A Danville man was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct after allegedly causing a physical altercation at Geode State Park.
Nicholas Lerun, 32, was arrested on Sunday afternoon after becoming physical with individuals he was camping with at the state park, according to a news release from the Henry County Sheriff's office. Deputies received a 9-1-1 call at approximately 12:40 p.m. and found Lerud had started a physical altercation with other campers.
Lerud was subsequently arrested and charged with the simple misdemeanors.
The New London Police Department assisted the Henry County Sheriff's Office during the incident.
