Deer tags are now on sale at the Henry County Recorder's Office.

With deer season just around the corner, hunters can purchase one antlerless tag and hunter education classes are available through the Henry County Nature Center. Additional antlerless tags can be purchased starting Sept. 15 until quotas are filled.
The hunter education classroom course is Sept. 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All registrants must be 11 years old or older by Sept. 29 to register. There is limited seating. To register for the class, go to www.iowadnr.gov.
Youth deer season is Sept. 15 to 30. Iowa residents who are 15 years old or younger when they buy their license are eligible to hunt under the supervision of an adult mentor who has a valid hunting license.
Additionally, license renewals for ATVs, ORVs and snowmobiles began Sept. 1 and continues through Jan. 1, 2019.
