Deputies investigate pair of accidents
Henry County Sheriff deputies recently investigated a one-car accident and a car-deer accident.
The sheriff?s office was summoned to a one-car accident on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the intersection of old Highway 34 and Franklin Avenue.

Henry County Sheriff deputies recently investigated a one-car accident and a car-deer accident.
The sheriff?s office was summoned to a one-car accident on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the intersection of old Highway 34 and Franklin Avenue.
According to the accident report, a 1992 Mercury Gran Marquis, operated by Fantasi Williams, of Chicago, Ill., was northbound on Franklin Avenue when she failed to make a turn eastbound on old Highway 34.
The vehicle entered the north ditch and was considered a total loss. There were no injuries reported by Williams or her passenger.
Mt. Pleasant Fire and Rescue and the Henry County Health Center Ambulance assisted the sheriff?s office at the scene.
Also on Nov. 17, deputies received a report of a car-deer accident at the 40-mile marker on U.S. Highway 218.
An investigation revealed that a 2012 Chrysler 200, owned and operated by Kristen Brown, of Mt. Pleasant, was southbound on Highway 218 when it struck and killed a deer that entered the roadway.
Damage to the Brown vehicle was estimated at $5,000.
