Deputies make arrest, investigate accident

Henry County Sheriff?s deputies, on April 9, made an arrest following a traffic stop and investigated a vehicle-deer accident.

Roy Stewart, Dayton, Ohio, was arrested near the intersection of Winfield and Grand avenues in Mt. Pleasant. A sheriff?s deputy stopped Stewart?s vehicle after it was observed driving onto the curb portion of the shoulder of the road.

Stewart was charged and arrested for operation while under the influence of alcohol-first offense and issued citations for driving without a valid driver?s license and failure to maintain control.

A vehicle-deer accident occurred near the 2000 grid of Winfield Avenue. Brittany Robison, Crawfordsville, was driving a Ford Escape westbound on Winfield when a deer ran in front of her vehicle causing her vehicle to strike the deer with its right grill/hold area.

The vehicle sustained significant damage and was towed from the scene.
