Deputies make arrests, investigate accident

Henry County Sheriff?s Deputies made a pair of arrests and investigated a single-vehicle accident recently.

A report was received at 12:32 a.m. Jan. 24 of a vehicle in the ditch in the 1300 grid of 120th Street, Wayland. The vehicle did not have license plates.

An investigation led to the owners of the vehicle, Harry and Dalton St. John (no address listed). It was determined the vehicle went into the ditch while being towed. The vehicle was not damaged.

Both Harry and Dalton St. John were arrested on Montgomery County, Iowa, warrants.

The sheriff?s department received multiple reports Jan. 22 of a vehicle in the south side ditch near the intersection of Highway 78 and Marsh Avenue. Following an investigation, it was found that Brandy Elaine Little, Mt. Pleasant, was traveling westbound on Highway 78 and lost control of her 1994 Ford, due to frost being on the roadway.

Little rolled her vehicle and the vehicle came to rest in the south side ditch of Highway 78. Little, who was not injured, was issued citations for failure to maintain control and failure to have proof of insurance.
