Deputies make arrests over the weekend
Henry County Sheriff?s Office deputies recently arrested two individuals over the weekend.

Henry County Sheriff?s Office deputies recently arrested two individuals over the weekend.
On Saturday, Feb. 13, deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Lincoln and Walnut streets in Winfield.
Upon investigation, the driver of the vehicle, identified as Ty Vaughn, 37, of Morning Sun, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated, second offense, and driving while barred, both aggravated misdemeanors.
Demetrius Goode, 23, Burlington, was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 14, after deputies responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on the 2700 grid of U.S. Highway 34.
Goode was charged with operating while intoxicated, first offense, a serious misdemeanor; and carrying weapons, an aggravated misdemeanor.
No injuries were reported and there was no damage to the vehicle. The sheriff?s office was assisted by the New London Police Department.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
