One man was arrested by Henry County Sheriff?s deputies last week and the department investigated two vehicle/deer accidents.
Bradd Thompson, 33, of Milton, was arrested on July 6, after deputies conducted a traffic stop at the 2000 grid of U.S. Highway 34.
Thompson was charged with driving while barred, an aggravated misdemeanor; driving under revocation, a serious misdemeanor; and driving under suspension and failure to obey a stop sign, both simple misdemeanors.
Both vehicle/deer accidents occurred on July 7.
The first was at the 3100 grid of U.S. Highway 218. A 1999 Chevrolet, owned and operated by Bobby Skaggs, of Mt. Pleasant, was traveling southbound and struck a deer in the roadway.
No injuries were reported and damage to the Chevrolet was estimated at $1,500.
Some 13 minutes after the first vehicle/deer accident, a second one was investigated at the 1700 grid of U.S. Highway 34.
Investigation revealed that a 2004 Ford, owned and operated by Barbara Gerleman-Neff, of Lockridge, was traveling east and struck a deer in the roadway.
No injuries were reported and damage to the Ford was estimated at $1,500.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
