Henry County Sheriff?s Office assisted a high risk unit probation/parole officer Sept. 17 with attempting to locate a subject who was possibly violating his probation.
Richard Leroy Parker Jr. was located at a rural residence near Salem. It was learned that Parker was living and working in Henry County.
Parker is required to register with the Henry County Sheriff?s Office due to him being a registered sex offender. However, Parker failed to do so.
He was arrested and charged with two counts of sex offender registration violations and for probation violation.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
