Two groups of friends just happened to be at the city mulch pile this morning at the same time, getting free mulch for their organizations. Patrick Murphy, far left, and Robbie Fox were loading a pickup for the St. Mary?s project, which has nothing to do with St. Mary Catholic Church except that it is at the site of the old St. Mary church. The non-profit Bonnell Building Project is the umbrella under which the St. Mary project exists. The mulch is for the community gardens there. The other couple, James Schleppenbach and Ruby Jones were getting mulch for Prairie Song Farm, a Maharishi University of Management student run permaculture farm north of Fairfield.
