Digging a hole
It?s a tight squeeze. The small flag at lower left indicates where telecommunications lines are buried, which doesn?t leave any room for error in digging a hole. The Alliant Energy crew digs a bit, then stops to check and make sure they aren?t too close to a buried cable, and continue until the hole is deep enough. Alliant is in the process of putting in new poles on South D Street, which will be further back ...

The Alliant Energy crew digs a bit, then stops to check and make sure they aren?t too close to a buried cable, and continue until the hole is deep enough. Alliant is in the process of putting in new poles on South D Street, which will be further back from the street than the old ones.
