SALEM - A dog in Salem was put down because of his 'aggressive nature” after the Henry County Sheriff's Office was notified that he was chasing and harassing people.
The Henry County Sheriff's Office was notified of an aggressive dog running at large in Salem on Wednesday, April 3. The dog was chasing and harassing people who were coming and going from Kramer's Gas Station. Several witnesses reported that the dog was acting aggressively, and those witnesses feared the dog would bite them, according to a news release.
Several attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful. This investigation remains open pending verification of the rabies vaccination. The dog was not displaying a rabies tag.
