Donald Billingsley

Donald Billingsley, 89, of Lockridge, died Monday, July 13, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 17, 2015, at Behner Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Holman officiating. Burial will be at Glasgow Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July16, at Behner Funeral.

Memorials can be given to the First United Methodist Church, Fairfield. Cards and memorials can be mailed to: 3300 250th Street, Lockridge, IA 52635.

Billingsley was born Oct. 30, 1925, to Sam and Iva (Erickson) Billingsley. He married Lois Coop on Jan. 30, 1945, at First United Methodist Church.

Billingsley farmed all his life. Billingsley enjoyed traveling, camping, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

Billingsley is survived by his wife, Lois Billingsley, of Lockridge; two sons, James (Debbie) Billingsley, of Fairfield; and Michael Jon (Deb) Billingsley, of West Des Moines; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one twin sister, Dorothy Moore, of Mt. Pleasant.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William Billingsley.
