Dorothy Margaret Hoben

Dorothy Margaret Hoben, 94, Winfield, died Monday, June 23, 2014, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center.

Private family funeral services will be Thursday June 26, at the Columbus City Cemetery with Roberta Hoben officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Sunrise Terrace Care Center and the Winfield Fire Department. Honts Funeral Home in Winfield is assisting the family with arrangements.

The daughter of Ben and Myrtle Wood, she was born June 12, 1920, at Muscatine. On March 20, 1941, she married Earl Henry Hoben. He preceded her in death. She attended the Muscatine schools. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist Faith. She enjoyed cooking for her family and having sugar cookies and pies for the grandchildren.

Survivors include one daughter, Sharon (Larry) Jennings of Winfield; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.
