Dorothy Virginia Thornburg

Dorothy Virginia Thornburg, 80, of Keosauqua, died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren Hospice in Keosauqua.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Heritage Baptist Church southeast of Keosauqua, with the Rev. Larry Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison.

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the family present from 3-4 p.m.

Memorials to Heritage Baptist Church may be left at the funeral home or church or may be mailed to the family at 25267 Hickory Ave., Cantril 52542.

Mrs. Thornburg was born June 26, 1930, in Fort Madison, the daughter of Marion and Martha Brown Sly. She married Harold Thornburg in 1948. He preceded her in death.
