Douds Stone to be sold
Gary Yates, owner of Douds Stone Inc., has entered into a preliminary agreement to sell the assets of Douds Stone Inc. to a consortium of Norris Asphalt of Ottumwa and Manatts Inc. of Brooklyn, Iowa.
The proposed sale is contemplated to take place Nov. 30.

Gary Yates, owner of Douds Stone Inc., has entered into a preliminary agreement to sell the assets of Douds Stone Inc. to a consortium of Norris Asphalt of Ottumwa and Manatts Inc. of Brooklyn, Iowa.
The proposed sale is contemplated to take place Nov. 30.
Officials at both companies are very excited about the potential of the companies joining forces. Brady Meldrem, of Norris, states Douds Stone is a first-class aggregate supplier and he looks forward to the opportunity to continue the company?s growth.
