Dream big ? win $5,000 to grow your business

Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance has partnered with MyEntre.Net, an online community for Iowa entrepreneurs and small businesses to launch the ?Dream Big, Grow Here? contest for small businesses in southeast Iowa.

Starting in August, businesses in Henry, Des Moines, Lee, Louisa, Van Buren, and Jefferson counties can compete to win $5,000 for use in bringing a business concept to reality or helping their existing small business grow.

Rules for the contest are simple. Applicants submit a video or email about their dreams of starting or growing an Iowa-based company and what it means to them to do business in Iowa. Visitors to www.DreamBigGrowHere.org then vote for the idea they like best, with the winning entrepreneur pocketing $5,000 for his or her business.

Entries may be submitted to the Dream Big, Grow Here website, beginning Aug. 1.
