Drivers escape harm following accident
No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday, Dec. 16.
The Mt. Pleasant Police Department was dispatched at 7:50 a.m., to the intersection of White Street and West Monroe Street for a motor vehicle collision.

No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday, Dec. 16.
The Mt. Pleasant Police Department was dispatched at 7:50 a.m., to the intersection of White Street and West Monroe Street for a motor vehicle collision.
According to police reports, a van, operated by Dustin Beatty, of Mt. Pleasant, was traveling south on White Street and stopped for the stop sign. Beatty then pulled out in front of a SUV, driven by Seth McShane, who was traveling eastbound. The vehicles collided.
No injuries were reported and damages were estimated at $4,500.
Beatty was cited for failure to obey a stop sign. Breuers Towing assisted at the scene. The investigation is still ongoing.
