During the search, numerous bags of synthetic marijuana were located along with baggies, scales, U.S. currency and other items showing the sales of the synthetic marijuana. Approximately one-fourth pound of synthetic marijuana was located at the residence. Several small children also were present at the residence.
The warrant was the result of a year-long investigation, according to a release from the police department.
Charges include the following:
Wixom and B. Gilbert, possession with intent to deliver (simulated) marijuana, a class D felony, gatherings where controlled substances are used and child endangerment, both aggravated misdemeanors;
Corder, child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor, possession of synthetic marijuana and possession of drug equipment;
D. Gilbert, possession of synthetic cannabinoids and drug equipment.
Some of the information that resulted in the arrests, police said, came from the public calling in with information. The department appreciates such tips.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
