A dry week has been unusual for the North Iris Street reconstruction project, and Shipley Construction took advantage of no rain this week to progress on the remainder of the project, which began last summer. Infrastructure, namely sanitary sewer pipe, can be seen in the foreground. In recent years, the city has been replacing infrastructure when needed while doing street projects. Reconstruction remaining on Iris Street includes the area south of the railroad tracks extending to the intersection with East Washington Street.
