Foliage, flowers and a religious theme for the upcoming holiday decorate the window of one of the Mt. Pleasant stores just off the square. The Quarter Maybe More Store, which is funded by the Fellowship Cup, decorated one of its windows for Easter.
'We're a Christian-based store, so we wanted to have one of our display windows be about the real reason behind Easter, not just all bunnies, eggs and candy,” manager Judy Ridinger said. 'So we have one window displaying the bunnies and eggs, and the other window of the tomb Jesus was in.”
Window displays are nothing new for the Quarter Store. Year-round, the store collects different donations and pieces to create its displays.
'We have a volunteer, Felicia Sharp, that comes in a couple times a week,” Ridinger said. 'She's kind of the person who's in charge of the displays.
'She'll give us an idea she has, and then all of the volunteers and staff will work to make her vision come true the best we can. It's really a joint effort.”
Many of the community members have been noticing the window display, too.
'People love it,” Ridinger said. 'We get a lot of compliments about our windows, and this one is no exception.”
The Quarter Maybe More Store is a part of the Fellowship Cup, a nonprofit organization that provides services and programs for the Mt. Pleasant community. The store will be celebrating its 40th anniversary in August.
