Edwards, W-MU boys? golf take runner-up spot at SEISC meet
FT. MADISON ? Jake Edwards led the Winfield-Mt. Union boys? golf team to a second-place finish at the Southeast Iowa Super Conference tournament at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course on Thursday.
Edwards was the runner-up medalist at the tournament, scoring 77 on the day. After 18 holes, he was tied with Tanner Travis of Columbus, but Edwards shot a birdie on the first playoff hole to claim the runner-up title.

The medalist was Notre Dame-West Burlington?s Taka Menidoami, who shot a 73.
Columbus won the meet with a team score of 330, and the Wolves scored 348 for the silver medal.
Klayton Booth was W-MU?s second golfer, and he shot an 81 on the day. He was followed by Brody Heying, 94 and Eric Spencer, 96.
Lucas Rappenecker shot a 97 for the Wolves and Thayne McElhinney had a 102.
The boys will golf next in the sectional meet at Deerwood Golf Club in New London, which will start at 9:30 a.m. next Friday.
