Elizabeth Ann West

Elizabeth Ann West, 78, of Fairfield, died on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016, at the University Hospitals, in Iowa City.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., on Friday, Aug. 26, at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. Nick Adam officiating. Interment was at Fell Cemetery, near Libertyville. The family received friends Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m., at Raymond Funeral Home, in Fairfield.

West was born on Aug. 25, 1937, in Fairfield, the daughter of Ralph C. and Edith Hendricks Schillerstrom. She graduated from Fairfield High School.

She married Floyd West on Sept. 17, 1954, at Pleasant Plain. She was a personal care provider for older people in their home. She had worked at Universal Producing Company and the Fairfield Glove Company.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, in Fairfield.

West is survived by her husband, Floyd; two daughters, Kathy (Harold) Cubbage, of Libertyville; and Melanie (Mark) Dill, of Dubuque; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary (Oren) Jarvis, of Washington; one brother, Roy Schillerstrom, of Washington; three half-sisters, Jeanie (Bob) Meinder, of Ottumwa; Jolene (Dennis) Elmore, of Lantana, Texas; and Joni (Joel) Rollinger, of Decorah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Robert Schillerstrom.
