Ellen Myers to retire in June
Fairfield Wastewater Superintendent Ellen Myers has submitted her resignation.
Myers plans to retire at the end of June. She said this morning she submitted her letter before becoming aware of city administrator Jeff Clawson?s upcoming resignation.
?There?s a lot of work that I accomplished, and there?s a lot that still needs to be done,? Myers said.

?There?s a lot of work that I accomplished, and there?s a lot that still needs to be done,? Myers said.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has mandated roughly $30 million of improvements to the city?s wastewater system and plant.
The Fairfield City Council Personnel Committee will meet Wednesday to discuss how to proceed with hiring for both Clawson?s and Myers? positions.
